The Lebanon "Delusion (x2) Our story technically began in Lebanon, where we crossed paths twice (thanks Tamara) and spent the entire time perfectly misreading each other. Lara was busy dropping what she considers "the most obvious strategic moves," while Jad was busy playing it way too cool, convinced he shouldn't overstep. We’ve been debating who "failed" that mission ever since, but in hindsight, we were probably just both waiting for the right moment.

The 5-Day "Quick Drink" in Berlin - The real shift happened in Berlin. Jad was there for his close friend’s bachelor party (Joey who should be reading this). Lara crashed the whole Bachelor party where she got Jad's closest circle of friends' approval! After a few slides in each other's Instagram DMs, we agreed to meet for a quick trip, Jad was on a plane to Dubai just a few weeks later and the rest is history!

The Frequent Flyer Era: Dubai-Dublin - Then came the logistics. For almost two years, our relationship existed primarily at 35,000 feet. Our 7-hour Dubai-Dublin flight was our monthly commute, we became experts in coordinating time zones. Jad was happy with the time difference which meant shorter calls but Lara made sure always find time for long video calls!

Seoul & The Month-Long Tag-Along - When Lara moved to Seoul for three months, we decided to see just how far the "long" in long-distance could go. Hold my beer please, Jad was on the first flight to Seoul where he spent a month to see Lara but mostly to embrace the culinary side of the city!

London: The Final Layover - After years of living out of suitcases and saying goodbye at security gates, we finally landed in the same city, and it was here that Jad proposed.

The Ultimate Destination - With our travel heavy relationship, we would love to have one trip with all of you included; We are so excited to celebrate our journey with you at Masseria Spina on September 12, 2026!
